DOCSIS

Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification — the technical standard that allows cable companies to transmit internet data over the same coaxial cables originally built for TV. DOCSIS 3.1 is currently the most common version in U.S. cable networks.

Fiber Optic (FTTH/FTTP)

A connection type that uses thin strands of glass or plastic to transmit data as pulses of light. FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and FTTP (Fiber to the Premises) mean fiber runs all the way to your residence, typically offering symmetric speeds and low latency.

DSL
